On January 25th, 2013 we were so blessed to debut Danielle Rose’s newest musical album Culture of Life. The concert was a sell-out and the crowd that filled the Open Window Theatre in Minneapolis was certainly a special one!
Many in attendance have been fans of Danielle’s music for years and eagerly awaited her newest album. Others had only recently discovered her music and wanted to come to show their support for Danielle’s music ministry. There were even some really special soon-to-be in-laws in attendance as Danielle shared the news of her engagement to be married later this spring! A highlight of the evening came when I drew the names for the two baby blankets and hat sets that we gave out as door prizes. Danielle lit up in happy exclamation as I drew first her fiancé’s grandmother’s name and then his mother’s name as well! It was a special night indeed.

This album is very special to Guiding Star as Danielle is from our home base city, Duluth, MN.  We have had the opportunity to help assist Danielle in covering the production costs so that this album is not owned by any music label but by Danielle herself. What does this mean?
It means that Danielle is free to use the music in any way that she wishes, unlike her other 4 albums which have copyrights on them. And she wishes to use this music in building up a Culture of Life by donating one copy of the album for every one purchased. Danielle will be donating these CDs to pregnancy centers, NFP offices, and other organizations that address the many facets of need in building a holistic Culture of Life. We couldn’t be happier about her decision to do this.
We believe the African proverb that “when the music changes, so does the dance”. This album helps us all to marvel at the beauty of our bodies and life in general. We look forward to the day when the cultural dance has changed to one that  proclaims how superbly we were made.
